Real Life Bride - Lindal and Phil

Their Perfect romance - a real life bride
We have been together since high school. We
were best friends and it became a little more
when Phil helped me mend from a broken

heart.

Phil proposed in such a romantic way. It was
Christmas morning and I had been looking all
week for my presents that should have been
under the tree, but they just weren’t there.
so, I gave him my presents and he looked at
me and pulled out a crumpled piece of paper
and read a poem to me that he had written.
Then he pulled out a ring from behind his
back and proposed. I had no idea. The ring
was perfect and it was the best Christmas
ever!
Their Ideal Wedding:
We decided to keep our wedding fairly
traditional but in an outdoor setting. A
beautiful spring day at the Tamborine Gardens
Wedding Chapel. It was such a perfect day.
I am sure every bride would say it but our
wedding ceremony was perfectly romantic.
My cousin took part with a

special reading and

Wedding Chapel. It was such a perfect day.
I am sure every bride would say it but our
wedding ceremony was perfectly romantic.
My cousin took part with a

special reading and

Phil and I incorporated his proposal poem into
our wedding vows.
Phil was the perfect groom, he only had two
requests, that if he had to wear a suit, then
to pick a date at a cooler time of year so he
wouldn’t swelter and that I change my name
to his. Not too much to ask at all.
Other than that, it was up to me. I picked
september because the weather would be
milder and having an outdoor ceremony, it
would mean flowers and sunshine, which
seemed appropriate for the start of our new
life together.
We had our reception on the grounds and
then spent our wedding night in one of the
attached cottages. As quite a lot of the
guests stayed on the mountain, we met up
with them the next morning for a breakfast
before heading off.
Their unique Choices:
We took advantage of family connections
and friends, which meant my veil was a
labour of love by Phil’s mother, a local
flower farm supplied the freshest flowers.
Our photographer was Jan ramsey from

Eye on Photography and we know we made

the perfect choice. We love our wedding
memories that were created by her. It is
amazing what an important role the wedding
photographer plays. she was the one who
knew what I should do and how to make me
relax and get some great smiles from the
whole wedding party.
We had our honeymoon in Phuket in Thailand.
Phil is a champion Muay Thai kickboxer and
lived in Thailand for a while. so for Phil it was an
opportunity to take me to all his favourite places
and create new memories with me in them.

Their Bridal Insights:
remember that you have bridesmaids and
that their role is to support you. Ask them to
share the load and take some of the stress
from your shoulders.
Also, your wedding day is THE day so enjoy
every moment. don’t rush a thing. Walk down
the aisle and look at everyone. Catch their
eyes, smile and soak up the atmosphere.
One last thing, even though Phil didn’t have
a lot of requests or input, I never forgot that
this was also HIs wedding day. We enjoyed
the whole experience together.
