Their Perfect Romance

When I met Jared, I was being introduced to my boss! First, I
fell in love with his looks but over the months, it became more
than that for both of us. i was at his house with other staff
and friends to watch a grand final match and he told me he
loved me. We began that day (4 years ago) to plan our future.
after a couple of years, we got pregnant and were overjoyed.
Jared proposed at a nature reserve with a massive waterfall in
the background and a beautiful lake in the foreground. i was
thinking how romantic it was, when Jared spun me around and
got down on one knee and asked: Will you marry me? my first
response was tears (i was pregnant!) and then i said yes. We
eventually walked back to the car park and there were my
parents waiting with champagne for everyone.
Their Ideal Wedding
We started planning the wedding after our little girl was born.
our wedding day signalled a new phase in our lives, as 5
days before we received the keys to our brand new home.
So we honeymooned in our new home with our 19 month old
daughter.
my wedding colour was white with touches of gold and red. We
didn’t go into debt for our wedding but paid off each expense
as it occurred.
We live on the Sunshine Coast and wanted something different
to a beach wedding and found the Sanctuary. its décor was
straight after my heart with chandeliers, vintage mirrors,
elegance and old-world ambience. Yet it has an enormous
wooden deck overlooking acres of beautiful grounds and
rainforests. our guests had plenty to look at while they were
served drinks and canapés during our photoshoot.
Their Unique Choices
My mum paid for my wedding dress. it was from hills in
hollywood, and the first one i tried on. it was so feminine with
all the lace, yet glamorous and sexy as well. the bridesmaids’
dresses were simple red strapless cocktail dresses. my little
girl was the flower girl and her dress had the same red but
with a tulle skirt and lots of tiny red roses to match the red
roses in the bouquets with the added touch of gold ribbon.
my bouquet was a tear drop with lilies as well as red roses.
our cake was from Cake inspirations and was three
rectangular tiers with gold ribbon around each tier and a
cascade of red roses. another touch of gold was Ferrero
Roche chocolates for our guests. they looked superb
against the gold and white tablecloths. on our table was a
5 tier candelabra.
We chose artisan Photography because andrej was a
friend and colleague. and we knew that with Queensland
Photographer of the Year award under his belt, our photos
would be fantastic. • Thank you for your story - Ideal Bride
