Brisbane Wedding Photographer’s Chris Knoblauch & Sonia Sutcliffe of Sterling Studios won several print awards at this year’s “ 2008 AIPP Canon Australian Professional Photography Awards”. After receiving 6 ‘silver’ awards and 2 ‘silver with distinction’ awards at the Queensland Professional Photography Awards (QPPA’s), the first time entrants picked up 7 Silver awards and 1 Silver with Distinction for their wedding prints, also a Silver with Distinction for their wedding album entry.

The Australian Professional Photography Awards (APPA’s) are the biggest event of the year on the Australian photography calendar, where Australia’s best photographers put their work on the line in front of the judging panels. The prints and albums are scrutinised for 3 days! Making for some very tense and sometimes heartbreaking times along the way, although always finishing with great celebrations.

Chris & Sonia, 2/3rds of the photography team at Sterling Studios are the second generation of the 32 year old business originally established by Chris’ father Glen. Glen who still photographs for the studio has passed on a wealth of knowledge to the new generation along with a well proven reputation for quality
