Features of the Highfields Cultural Centre
Our spacious function room is fully air-conditioned for year round comfort, with high ceilings, permanent dance floor, theatrical lighting rig and sound system. Our ceiling drapery and fairy lights help to complete the look, and we also offer complimentary lighting to match your colour scheme.
If you’ve been dreaming of a garden wedding, why not celebrate your special day in our unique garden. Featuring a lush green lawn and stately trees, this is the perfect backdrop for an intimate garden ceremony. It also doubles as a location for guests to enjoy their pre-dinner canapés and socialise over a glass of champagne.
Catering
Catering is one of the most important aspects of your wedding, contributing to the perfection of your day. With a reputation for house-made delicacies, our catering team promises to elevate your wedding celebrations with our creative and elegant cuisine. Our professional chef has a range of menus available to suit your requirements; all handmade on-site to a high standard.
Treat your guests to canapés in our beautiful garden before moving into the reception room for the main and dessert. Our cocktail party options are also a very popular choice. A fully staffed and licensed bar provides a variety of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks to tempt the tastebuds of your guests. You can select a beverage option to suit your requirements including beverage packages, bar tab or a cash bar.
Décor
At Highfields Cultural Centre, we take care of all the details. From the moment guests arrive to start the evening’s celebrations, all of your wants and needs are catered to. You won’t need to lift a finger with the tables and chairs set to your custom seating plan with white linen tablecloths and linen napkins, bridal table and cake table skirting, cutlery and glassware. The experienced staff can also assist with decorating your wedding with chair covers, sashes, table centrepieces, bridal backdrops and ceiling drapery. Simply let our team know your requirements and we can tailor a package to suit.
We offer a beautiful garden ceremony to remember. In addition to the spacious auditorium, guests can make use of a serene outdoor area that is perfect for a garden wedding. The peaceful, secluded outdoor area is surrounded by stately trees providing the perfect backdrop for your wedding. A signatory table and chairs for the couple and their guests can be arranged, along with a red carpet.
In the event of bad weather, a smaller room is available to take the worry out of having to contact your guests with a change of plan.
